Got a golf cart early this morning and set out to drive up to the clinic and school where two of our teams were working today. The third team's work begins in the afternoon, when the children are out of school. We joined up mid morning at the school and used the golf cart to run all over the island ordering materials for the construction site. The school added students in April due to a municipal school closing, and so the enrollment is now 107 students, even more than they had in already crowded rooms, so this expansion for the school is coming at just the right time. God's plans are always perfect, we just get to fit in to them sometimes.

The cart turned out to be a great idea, and it helped the construction team move cinder block from storage to the school to be placed in the walls of the new classroom.

The children are bright and eager to learn, had a good play time at recess, and then back to class until noon when school closes. In the afternoon, the third team offered VBS to the students of the school We met in the Methodist Church annex, a building that Wesley team worked on back in 2007. Sunday school teachers from the church came to help us because they already know all the children.
About 30 children came today, we will see if the number increases tomorrow!

The mission team is thinking about the letter of Paul to Philemon. The main character of that letter is Onesimus (whose name means "useful"). During the day each team member was asked to pay attention to times during the day when they felt useless or useful. At supper tonight team members were impressed with how hard each person did their work today. Now we are all resting comfortably getting ready for another big day tomorrow.

God has blessed us today!
